Ever since Dr. Richard and Bunny Becker picked their first harvest of fine wine grapes on their Texas Hill Country estate in 1995, the wines they produce have been counted among “the best in Texas.”
In 1992 when they planted their vineyards together with their sons Will and Joe, they became Texas wine pioneers: They were among the first to recognize that Texas terroir had the ability to deliver world-class wines.
That was more than twenty years ago. Today, the Texas wine industry is booming and the wines produced here — many of them from the Becker estate — have garnered top prizes, scores, and awards at leading international wine competitions.
On Thursday, July 30, the Beckers will be pouring six of their award-winning wines at Tony’s to be paired with a menu created especially by Tony Vallone.
