White Alba Truffles are here!

The first white Alba Truffles have arrived at Tony’s.
The first shipment came in last week and we’ve just received another.
The truffles are early this year in Piedmont, says Tony, because of the drought conditions that have affected Italy over the summer.
The lack of water and a hot summer don’t influence the quality of the truffles, he explains, but they do accelerate the natural growing cycles of all agriculture — wild and cultivated.
Whereas in other years, we see them come in during late October and early November, this year we’ve already received the first truffles to be foraged.
